Steamy New Orleans keeps the international ceramic and tile sector cool under one giant roof.
More than 1,121 companies exhibited, with over 40 countries represented. This has become the largest single event for the international ceramic tile and stone industry in the world.
The three day exposition attracted over 25,000 visitors per day from as far away as South America, Turkey, Taiwan, Israel, The Philippines and The Republic of China, as well as Europe, Italy and Spain being the leading producers. This year Ceramic Tiles of Italy sponsored the Internet Caf猫 , the internet stations located out in the hallway giving visitors internet and e-mail access. In the center of the exhibits was a trattoria serving up Italian delights prepared by a premiere Italian chef flown in from Emilia Romagna for the occasion.
