I have been expecting to visit the south America,
which was connected with the Africa in the
ancient four hundred thousand years, only because
I have ever majored in dialect geography and on
account of loving stones I want to go to Uruguay
to see the beautiful, firm, special and magic VB
quarry.
Just six months ago my dream came true, I went to
Uruguay with Minister Taketa from INTERROCK
company. But due to the delay of the visa, we
couldn't start our journey until this February.
It is a beautiful nation and it is much more
beautiful than I ever imagined. It can be
described by any human word, it is the pure
beauty of nature contains of broad grasslands and
green sea.
The word "Uruguay" in Injun means "river of
flying birds". It is true that when I put my
first step in Uruguay I found it is full of birds
and flowers. There are too many birds in Uruguay
not only in quantity but also in variety. I have
never seen many of the birds. They are enjoying
their lives with other creatures in this free,
fortunate and happy country. Spain colonists
settled here 400 years ago, they killed all the
aboriginals (Injuns) but they still used
鈥淯ruguay鈥�. The civilization and advancement of
human beings involved cruel Scotish government.
The famous scientist Alfred Wegener published his
theory of continental drift and seashore
structure before 100years.He took it that the
surface of world makes up of several continents
and oceans. These ones sometimes fit together and
sometime separate. The nearest continental drift
happened before 400 thousand years ago. So he
bravely concluded that America and Africa is a
joint part and his ideas were proved right by the
ancient biological research. The granite of south
Africa and the granite of America is familiar in
the composition and structure, they are both
rigid, it is the most important request for the
tombstones. People found VB in DURAZNO which lie
in the middle of Uruguay. The word "DURAZNO" in
Uruguay means "the city of peach" , but there are
no peaches. Of course VB means much more
interesting to us than peaches.
It is named VB because of its special violet
quartz. The quartz is colorless or fleshcolor so
the violet quartz is very unusual in nature. But
VB is nobleness more than this. There are many
granites in DURAZNO so I guess that around VB
perhaps there are other kind of stone. But it is
so happened that the local archaeologists found
the stone printings of Injuns on the surface of
stones. The value of cultural relic is more than
commercial value. It means that ancient Injuns
realized the value of VB so they printed their
culture and arts on it. Because of this no one
will be permitted to mine the stones except the
intrinsic VB quarry and it makes VB more rarity
and magic.
The VB quarry is very good in quantity compared
with other quarries I have ever been, but its
waves are too many so the rate of usableness is
very low. The god鈥檚 witness shocks us:pretty and
magic things are always difficult to get.
In the recent 20 years the VB quarry changed two
owners but the production is retain 30-50 m3 per
month. The owners(Mr. Otero and the other three)
bought it two years ago. And he want to make new
mining plans on this magic quarry. Wish him
success so that more people could see the magic
stone.
I will be back to Uruguay to see the beautiful
country and magic V.B!
