Different colors of travertine in Turkey
In Turkey, many different colored travertines are being quarried. Some with big quantities and some less..
The most quarried colored travertines are white and noche travertines. And than yellow and red color travertines come. Ofcourse these colors are all derived in each name. For example white travertines may be derived as light, medium, ivory, commercial light, standart light and more..This is also the same for the other colors.
Popular sizes for travertine tiles
Most popular sizes for cross cut travertine tiles are 12 x 12inch, 16 x 16inch, 18 x 18inch and 24 x 24inch. Also nowadays french size sets are popular.
French size set consists;

1 piece 8 x 16inch
1 piece 16 x 16inch
1 piece 16 x 24inch

30 x 30cm, 30 x 60cm, 40 x 40cm, 30cm x freelength are also popular sizes however for mostly Spain and Israel markets.
The thickness of the tiles may differ according to needs however most used ones are 1cm, 1,2cm, 1,5cm, 2cm and 3cm ones
In the last 2 years, 10 x 10cm tumbled travertines and mosaics became popular and nowadays nearly all of the travertine factories are adding new machines for tumbling and mosiac within their machine parks.
