ABN Amro to open fifth branch in China |

Jan. 4, 2006 (China Knowledge) – ABN Amro Bank will open its fifth branch in China in Chongqing on Jan. 18. The Dutch bank said that this branch will offer private and corporate wealth management services for high-end clients and small- and medium-sized businesses. The other four branches are located in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu. ABN Amro also has representative offices in the cities of Guangzhou, Wuhan and Tianjin. Looking forward, ABN Amro Bank will increase the number of branches in China, as Qiu Zhizhong, chairman of the bank's Greater China Region, told China Securities Journal In late November last year, that the bank would quadruple its branches in China to 20 in five years.
