Chery to get supplies from Delphi Corp. |

Jan. 8, 2007 (China Knowledge) – Chery Automobile, one of the largest carmakers in the Mainland, will be getting supplies like integrated navigation systems and safety products including airbags and crash sensors from supplier Delphi Corp. Delphi, the largest automotive supplier in the U.S., is expected to make an announcement on this deal at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Monday. Chery has been rapidly increasing its annual production, from 50,000 cars in 2002 to almost 300,000 in 2006. Production is expected to increase as sales volume is forecast to reach 1 million cars by 2010.
