German and Italian producers of mining and processing of natural construction stone are starting expansion to the Uzbek market.
Tashkent hosted a workshop entitled 鈥淣ew technologies in production of machinery and equipment for mining and processing of natural stone. German and Italian producers presented their products at the event.
Representatives of 40 construction companies from Italy, Germany and Uzbekistan participated in the forum. The seminar was organised by German AnTa Ltd, representatives of Italian and German firms on stone mining and processing in Uzbekistan.
Tamara Frenc, specialist of AnTa Ltd, said that Uzbekistan is on the second place in the world on reserves of natural construction stone (granite, marble) and added that the company sees great potential in this market.
Bert Byom, representative of W.Diamant, also shared opinion of the Tamara Frenc.
Dr Stefano Simane, representative of Simec S.p.a., said that Uzbek gazgan white marble (Samarkand region) can compete with Italian karam marble, which is the best in the world.
Frenc added that the companies participated in the workshop already work in Uzbekistan and the workshop was aimed at expansion of cooperation. Participants noted that they established new contacts and they can turn to real contracts soon
