China National Nuclear's revenue up 15%

Jan. 23, 2007 (China Knowledge) – China National Nuclear Corp. (CNNC) said its main business posted revenue of RMB 20.3 billion in 2006, a 15% year-on-year increase.

In 2006, the company produced 22.68 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, said CNNC’s general manager Kang Rixin.

Looking forward, Kang said that the Tianwan nuclear power plant will begin commercial operation this year, after construction began in 1999. Located in Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province, the plant is the largest project between China and Russia.
