Jan. 26, 2007 (China Knowledge) – The Hover, a car made by China's Great Wall Motor Company <2333>, will make its debut on the Chilean market on Feb. 1, said officials from its distributor company, DERCO.
Sold at between 10 million pesos and 11 million pesos, the car is designed to compete against cars in the same category but with higher prices. The five-seater Hover is an all-terrain vehicle featuring Mp3, radio and CD player, central locks, remote control locks, double airbag and ABS brakes.
The Hover has been subjected to six-month trials in Chile. In neighboring Peru, it has already been sold for four months and has become one of the most successful models in the DERCO market.
DERCO plans to sell about 1,000 Hovers during 2007 in Chile and will launch some other products in 2008, such as vans and medium-sized cars.
