Feb. 5, 2007 (China Knowledge) – CEEG Nanjing PV-Tech, a Nanjing-based solar power equipment builder, plans to raise up to US$200 million from an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) this year.
The company, which started production in 2005, joins other six Mainland solar power companies to raise funds via IPOs overseas.
Trina Solar raised US$98 million in December last year on the NYSE. Its shares have risen 46% since the start of the year. Solarfun Power Holdings raised US$150 million on the Nasdaq just a few days after Trina. Its shares have risen 28% since the start of the year.
China's JA Solar plans to price its shares on the Nasdaq this week.
Other solar power companies hoping to list is Yingli Solar, which is looking to raise US$400 million overseas. Another is LDK Solar Hi-tech, which is seeking US$300 million.
