Feb. 9, 2007 (China Knowledge) – Indian outsourcer Satyam Computer Services has launched its fourth facility in Nanjing, its largest development center outside India. Located in Nanjing Software Park, the development center will service clients in the China domestic market and some clients in Japan and other East Asian markets. It is due to commence operations within the next 12 months, and can seat 2,500 people. Satyam, one of the earliest Indian companies to enter the Chinese market, set up its first development center in Shanghai in 2002, and has a presence in Beijing, Dalian and Guangzhou. The Hyderabad-based company had announced in November that it will increase its staff in China from around 400 to about 3,000 by 2008, in line with its strategy to use China as an alternate location to India to serve its global clients.
